ASUS’s latest ZenBooks are the world’s thinnest laptops
ASUS has unveiled two new ZenBook laptops. The company unveiled these laptops yesterday and it is calling them the “world’s thinnest with full I/O ports powered by 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs’’ – the ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425/UM425).
The ASUS ZenBook series has always been one of my favorite laptop series from ASUS based on the two ZenBook laptops we have previously reviewed here on TechTrendsKE.
Both the new ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425) are just 13.9 mm thick, but also offer full-size USB Type-A ports, a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C and a microSD card reader. These features Asus says make them the “world’s thinnest” 13.3 and 14-inch laptops offering this set of connectivity options.
These Zenbooks laptops are also very light with the 13 (UX325) weighing 1.07 kg, while the Zenbook 14 (UX425/UM425) weighs just 1.13 kg.

The ZenBook 13 and 14 have been configured with Intel’s 10th-gen Core i3, i5, or i7 processors, but the company mentioned that there will also be a ZenBook 14 model that offers AMD as an option.
These laptops have also been configurable to handle up to 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and will all sport 1080p displays.
ASUS claims the 67Wh battery on these two laptops will provide up to 22 hours of usage and can also be filled to 60% in 49 minutes with its fast-charging feature. Something we will really be interested to try out when we get our hands on a review unit.
Other features include stereo speakers, IR camera, array microphones and NumberPad 2.0.
No information on local availability or pricing for the laptops was available at the time of publication. We will be updating this article as soon as we get this information.
