Jumia launches ‘Krisi na Jumia – Twende Ocha’ Campaign, to sell Mbuzi at Ksh.999

Christmas is almost here with us and Jumia has yet again unveiled another campaign for its customers dubbed Krisi na Jumia – Twende Ocha.

The campaign will see customers purchase Mbuzi at Ksh.999 and other goods at discounted prices throughout the month of December.

For the second time this year, Jumia has partnered with Kiserian herders to sell goats at 95% off during flash sales for the first lucky shoppers to the site, starting this Friday 30th November into December 18th.

Jumia’s success over this year’s Black Friday is apparent. According to figures released by the company, an estimated 12M Kenyan customers are expected to visit the site over the month of November, showing an increase of 8% compared to last year’s Black Friday. Whilst sales traditionally focused on mobile phones and electronics, Jumia says this year’s best sellers have been FMCG products.

The company launched the grocery category in 2017, aiming at driving higher repeat purchase from their customer base. It recently also partnered with Majid Al Futtaim, the exclusive franchisee operator of Carrefour in 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, to sell groceries and household goods online starting end of December.

At the launch of the “Krisi na Jumia – Twende Ocha!” campaign, the ecommerce leader confirmed that once again Groceries would be at the heart of their festival offer. In a bid to become the destination retailer for the Christmas period, the company will be offering up to 70% off on Unga, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Blue Band, Rice and other festive products.

“Jumia is now your one-stop-shop in Kenya and this Christmas our customers can host friends and relatives affordably and even travel to Ocha with our deals this year,” said Jumia Kenya PR manager Pauline Masese.

The 2018 edition of Jumia Black Friday sales began on November 2nd with the sale’s culmination expected this Friday the 30th and will kick off with a flash sale of Mbuzi at 9AM. So be sure to check the Jumia website to ensure you don’t miss out on this flash sale. This article might help you understand how you can best take advantage of Jumia Flash sales.
