Meliora Launches Tiara Connect as it Marks 10 Years of Software Innovation
Meliora Technologies has unveiled Tiara Connect, an all-in-one customer communication platform designed to help organisations manage business-to-customer engagement across multiple channels, as the Kenyan-born software engineering firm marked its 10th anniversary.
The platform brings together transactional SMS services such as one-time passwords and payment alerts, bulk messaging, surveys, USSD functionality through *710#, and email into a single interface.
Although Tiara Connect has been in use by select partners, the formal launch signals Meliora’s push to scale the solution across Africa and deepen its role in the region’s digital infrastructure.
The announcement comes amid growing demand for reliable, low-cost communication tools across sectors. Financial institutions require secure messaging for customer authentication and transaction updates, while SACCOs, fintechs, schools and healthcare providers depend on affordable outreach to support growth and service delivery. Community organisations also increasingly rely on timely mobile communication to mobilise and inform members.
Speaking during the launch event at the Pullman Hotel, Meliora Technologies co-founder and Lead Pacesetter Samuel Kamochu said the product was inspired by small and medium-sized enterprises and frontline service providers that need dependable ways to reach customers.
“Our inspiration for Tiara Connect came from the everyday heroes of our economy, the SMEs, educators, health workers, and local enterprises who need to reach people quickly and reliably,” he said “This launch is not just about technology but a contribution to Kenya’s digital inclusion journey. Our vision is to make meaningful communication possible for every organisation, no matter their size or technical capacity.”
Meliora enters the market with more than a decade of experience in the telecommunications space. The company says Tiara Connect delivers 99.99 per cent service availability, supports a throughput of 2,000 transactions per second, and is connected directly to networks in more than 22 countries, with additional indirect integrations.
The firm reports that over 400 organisations, including banks with pan-African operations, SACCOs and health institutions, are already using the platform, citing local technical support, pricing and system stability as key differentiators.
As digital services expand across Kenya’s public and private sectors, Meliora is positioning Tiara Connect as a core tool for strengthening customer relationships, improving engagement outcomes and enabling data-driven communication strategies.
The company also indicated that future updates will introduce Customer Value Management and analytics capabilities to help organisations measure the effectiveness of their outreach and better understand customer behaviour.
