Regularly priced at KES 60,000, the HMD says the HMD Skyline is now available for just KES 35,000 – but only in limited quantities and at select retailers nationwide.

The HMD Skyline has been designed following the company’s repairability focus. It comes with a removable back, and the back design is made of glass with an aluminium frame. For authentication, you have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

At the front is a 6.5-inch P-OLED screen with 1080p screen resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate and brightness peaking at 1000 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

HMD Skyline is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. You can increase the storage with an external MicroSD card up to 512 GB. It also runs on Android 14 and will get 2 major Android OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
At the back, we get a triple camera setup made of a 108mp main camera with OIS, 50MP 2x telephoto camera with 4x lossless zoom and a 13mp ultrawide. Selfies are taken care of by the 50mp front-facing camera. For video recording, the primary camera can shoot up to 4K 30fps video while the selfie camera is capped at 1080p video recording. To add to the photography, you also have nice features to play around including AI Capture Fusion technology that maximises detail in photos taken with it.
Keeping the lights on is a 4600mAh battery that supports 33W fast Type-C charging. The battery is non-removable but replaceable. A full charge will need 76 minutes. It also supports wireless charging up to 15W and reverse wireless charging up to 5W.
Other features include IP54 ingress protection, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G support and a customizable textured button located on the left side that lets you quickly access apps and features with a single or double press.
