If you’re a Telkom Kenya subscriber, the telco announced some pretty exciting news last week. It revamped its voice offers for its mobile prepaid customers in what it says is to make voice more accessible to Kenyans.
Remember the Chapa Story voice bundle? Telkom Kenya has now renamed it to Sema Yote. This bundle will give customers 100 free minutes of talk time per day at a cost of KSh.10, valid for 24 hours. Customers who pay KSh.150 will also receive 100 free minutes of talk time per day, for the next 30 days.
Telkom Kenya has also changed the terms of its Mambo offer, moving the number of free voice minutes on this offering from daily to monthly. Customers who pay KSh.99 and KSh.199 per month, will now receive 100 and 200 free call time minutes per month, respectively, rather than 99 and 100 per day.
I also need to mention that the Mambo offer also gives customers a daily data allocation of 99MB.

If you’re a Telkom prepaid customer you can sign up for the Sema Yote bundle by dialing *544# or via My Telkom App and My Account portal.
Sema Yote is among a slew of customer delight offers, including Madaraka Life, launched this year by Telkom. With Madaraka Life, Telkom customers get a lifetime value of free 1GB Mobile Internet Data and 100 minutes of talk time to make Telkom-to-Telkom calls, every month for a one-off payment of Ksh.100.
