We have already told you so much about the new LG AI Direct Drive (DD) washing machines that are already available for purchase in Kenya.
The smart washing machine is fast, energy-efficient and does all the thinking for you, a perfect addition for your smartphone. The washers were first unveiled at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and comes with a number of interesting features like TurboWash™ 360.
LG also did some improvements as the new washers now come with a bigger drum capacity in the same space. This means compact fit and customers can get a bigger washer and fit in their space.
As we mentioned in our previous article, the LG AI DD washing machines also not only detects the volume and weight of each unique laundry load but also uses AI and advanced sensors to identify fabric types in each load. The washers are also so smart and chooses the washing setting for you.
All you will need to do is throw your clothes and sit back. The washer will then automatically detect the weight and type of fabric and deliver the perfect wash every time, thanks to analyzing 20,000 different washing patterns.
You get an intelligent clean that’s gentle on the fabrics that need it most – leaving you with softer and longer-lasting clothes. In fact, LG says tests have proven that this washing machine can offer 18% more fabric care when compared to a conventional model, prolonging the lifespan of your most clothes.
According to LG Electronics, reducing consumption and preserving the quality of fabrics are the main goals of the AI Direct Drive Washers.
Using the ThinQ AI mobile app you can also manage the washer remotely, control the progress of the washing cycle or even download the washing programs to choose the ones that best suit your need.
Some of LG ‘s AI DD smart functions (e.g. program selection, start or stop, estimated time, etc.) are compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to manage washing cycles just with your voice. This feature is however not available for this market.
