Financial inclusion has been on the rise in Africa over the past few years largely due to the innovation of digital financial services. In 2016, the level of financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa was just over 23%. In 2017, it was almost over 43%, with a significant increase coming from digital financial services.
