Safaricom has today morning been hit by a major outage. Most subscribers countrywide have been cut off from internet connectivity in what the mobile operator says is due to a multiple fiber link cuts which has affected critical transmission equipment.
The outage has also affected voice and SMS service, especially for users in Coast and Lower Easter regions.
In a statement posted on its social media platforms, Safaricom has apologized to its customers experiencing the outage saying it was working to restore the services.
‘’We are working to restore the services as soon as possible, and apologize for any inconvenience causes’’ the statement read.
