The Tecno Phantom 8 is launching on 22nd October

By now you must have seen Tecno Mobile teasing its next Phantom, the Tecno Phantom 8 and the Phantom 8 Plus. The devices are expected to be launched on 22nd October in Dubai and Tecno is describing it as a slick, with a luxury design.

Interesting Tecno has again chosen Dubai as its venue for the Phantom 8 launch. But again, we should not be surprised, remember the company also launched the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 plus in Dubai last year. The reason for this, the company said is because it was eyeing its brand presence in the Middle-east and South America market. This was the first international launch Tecno which is regarded as the most disruptive brand in the smartphone market, was also doing.

That aside, what should we expect with the Phantom 8? Not so much has been said about the device but of course, the expectations are high considering the fact that the Phantom 6 and 6 plus really disappointed some of us in term of specs and pricing. My guess is that Tecno has something good in store for us.

One thing we can confirm is that one of the devices will come with a dual camera setup, making it the first device from Tecno to have dual back cameras. The camera is alleged to be 25 megapixels and 13 megapixels. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is rumored to be 18 megapixels.

The Phantom 8 is also rumored to boast a whooping 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage. That’s all we have managed to get so far, but we will be sharing more before the official launch.

A question most people will be asking though is, Tecno not talking about the Phantom 7.  After Phantom 6 we expected the next device in the series to be Phantom 7, but not much has been said about it. But rumor has it Tecno might also be unveiling the device on the same day as the Phantom 8. Remember those are just rumors as there has not been any official communication from the company about this.

In the meantime, let’s keep calm and wait for the Tecno Phantom 8 and Phantom 8 plus.  Will you be saving for this one? Keep visiting here for more Tecno Phantom 8 and Phantom 8 Plus updates. You can also follow our Instagram page for more leaked images.
