Acer laptops were the most popular brands than Asus in the period between March 2016 and March 2017. According to data insights from Data Fintech, Acer managed to top 75% of the period.
The brand’s popularity, however, declined in March 2017 compared to 2016 while Asus popularity grew up to 23% within the same period.
The data further shows that Acer’s supply was up by 440% in March 2017 in terms of electronic dealers stock value. Asus, on the other hand, was up by 210% within the same period. The number of dealers listing Acer laptops has increased by 25.9% in March 2017 compared to December 2016 while for Asus, the number of dealers is up 31.8% over the same period.
Should be we surprised that Acer was top of the list? No. The brand offers a broad line-up of laptops every major category from student Chromebooks to high-end gaming laptops.

The company has been known for making expensive laptops, but the past few years has seen the company release a number of premium systems. The brand has also been ranked as having the best customer support.
Asus, on the other hand, is ranked the second best brand thanks to its best combination of value and performance. The brand is well known for its high-quality components and is also the topmost brand when it comes to affordable laptops. Asus laptops are available at different prices ranging from Kshs.30,000 to even Kshs.24,000 and the designs are solid pretty straightforward. No other laptop brand consistently gives consumers as many premium features at such affordable prices.
