You are probably wondering how you are going to text everyone to wish them ”Happy New Year” Why? Because popular messaging app WhatsApp appears to be down.
DownDetector.co.uk reported a spike in outage reports around 6pm UK time. Down Detector’s outage map shows WhatsApp is mainly down for people in northern Europe, as well as for some users in Spain, India, Malaysia, New York and Brazil.
Some users in East Africa have also reported experiencing the outage.
As usual, users took to social media to confirm with other users if indeed WhatsApp is down.

WhatsApp has not made any comment on the outage.
