Is an Email subscription service a great idea in 2019? I can’t believe we have to talk about this now but either way, we have to so long as matters are tabled why not?
To cut a long story short, Wananchi Group’s Zuku launched a new “product” yesterday dubbed ZukuEmail. Breaking the news to its customers, Zuku sent emails to their subscribers about the new service. Here’s what Zuku says about their new ZukuEmail service;
- Free 1GB cloud storage
- Secure mailing service for family free from spam
Also as a subscriber, you’ll be able to create up to 5 customizable emails for free which hopes to cover the family at large.
Additionally, with Zuku’s Email service, you will be provided with up to date offers from the company and furthermore, it will act as a Bill Manager where you can receive your Zuku bills ‘securely.’
Is Zuku’s email service a viable idea? I’m still wondering what the heck is wrong with Zuku after I bumped into the news posted on Twitter by @Chiira. The big reason why the service is a total joke is that who needs another email service in 2019?
So we collected some of the responses from Twitter users. Have a look;

It would have worked 10 years ago. Now I'm.not so sure.

Zuku should have upgraded their services instead of giving people free emails

There are already a ton of options one can go for creating an email address all for free plus you get a large storage capacity on top. Look at what Gmail and Outlook are already offering, ZukuEmail can’t stand a chance even to their subscribers. The mailing service industry is already saturated, and no one needs another email service in this generation.
So who is the ZukuEmail service for? Do you need a new email service? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
