ThinQ technology on LG TwinWash – Here’s what you need to know

In a quest for a sustainable future as far as Smart Homes are concerned, LG has taken over with their Artificial Intelligence software ThinQ which leverages on deep learning to make life easier. Recently LG has also announced their own AI Chip that will drive faster developments in Smart Home devices. LG’s AI chip will be applied in smart home devices including robot vacuum cleaners, washing machines, refrigerators, and air conditioners.

LG ThinQ AI is built on the three pillars of AI; Evolve, Connect, and Open to come up with a robust AI ecosystem that will drive diverse solutions in the real world. LG has showcased some of its smart Home gadgets that evolve around the kitchen, living room, and laundry room at the CES 2019 (Consumer Electronics Show) held earlier this year in Las Vegas.

The company showcased its TwinWash machine, which is the real powerhouse for all your laundry needs. The core part of TwinWash is that it uses the ThinQ AI technology.

With ThinQ AI in LG’s TwinWash machine, it helps make your life easier in terms of laundry. Here are the additional features that the LG ThinQ AI brings on the TwinWash laundry machine:

  • Control key features with just your voice

With ThinQ you can take full control of your TwinWash machine with voice commands. You can start/stop the machine and even set washing cycles.

  • Get recommendations for speciality cycles

Instead of struggling to set the washing cycle for the given type of clothes, all you need to do is say the words. For example, saying, ‘I want to wash running shorts’ will prompt the machine to set the optimal cycle for proper cleaning- Sportswear.

  • Get alerts when you’re running low on detergent

As human beings, we are prone to forgetting to purchase some stuff at times. With LG’s ThinQ AI you’ll be provided with updates on when you’re about to run low on detergent and what’s more interesting is the AI can order some on your behalf.
