OPPO’s Flagship Find X5 Launched in Kenya for Ksh.100K

Oppo on Thursday officially launched its flagship Find X5 series in Kenya. The series comes in three variants, the Oppo Find X5, Find X5 Pro and Find X5 Lite. Oppo is however only making the Find X5 available in Kenya for Ksh.100,000.

This flagship introduces an advanced camera system powered by MariSilicon X that supports 4K Ultra Night Video capabilities; 120Hz Billion-Colour Bionic Display; 5G performance;  80W SUPERVOOC plus 30W AIRVOOC wireless charging; IP54 Water and Dust Resistance, and more.

The Oppo Find X5 is a pretty good-looking device boasting an ultra-premium finish, with frosted, matte glass and fingerprint-resistant chassis. Available in Black or White, the fine grain of this 90% frosted texture creates a beautiful, almost silky lustre that plays with light and feels incredible in the hand.

The phone features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the Oppo Find X5 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, along with some 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

There is a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with another 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. At the front, there’s a 13-megapixel telephoto shooter.

Oppo Find X5 runs on Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top.

Oppo has also added a 4,800mAh dual-cell battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging to the Find X5. The battery also supports 30W AirVOOC wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The company says those who pre-order the device will also receive the 30W AirVOOC wireless charger for free.
