The Nokia 8 is now available in Kenya for Ksh.60,000
The Nokia 8 has started selling in Kenya a month after the phone was launched globally. HMD Global has announced the availability of the phone in the country starting today for Ksh 59,999.
The Nokia 8 is the first high-end smartphone from the company since Windows phones and comes with some impressive specifications like OZO Audio, ZEISS certified dual cameras, stock Android, powered by Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and more.
With a price of Ksh.59,000, Nokia 8 goes head-on with against some of the high-end devices in the market. HMD Global aims to capture the high-end smartphone market in Kenya with This is Nokia’s fourth smartphone to be launched in the country after the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6.

Just an overview of the Nokia 8 specifications, the phone comes with a 5.30-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 554 pixels per inch.
It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM and packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. In terms of the camera, the Nokia 8 packs a 13-megapixel primary rear camera a 13-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Nokia 8 runs Android 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3090mAh non-removable battery. It measures 151.50 x 73.70 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh just 160.00 grams.

The smartphone is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone and accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
Remember HMD global recently confirmed that all of its Android smartphones will be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of 2017. And now the company has announced that the entire range will also be updated to Android P in the coming months. The announcement was made at the launch of the Nokia 8 in the Philippines.
The Nokia 8 will be available in two colors: Tempered Blue and Steel.
