From How To Hack WIFI To BirdBox; Here Is What Kenyans Searched For The Most in 2019
Google’s year in search report for this year is out. Since most people use Google to search for answers they seek, this is a good look at what we Kenyans have been looking for the most in 2019.
With the 2019 Year in Search report, Google presents us with the top trending searches of the year. The report shows what Kenyans have been searching for, ranging from general questions like “How to file returns using P9 forms” to tech-focused queries like “How to Download Videos from YouTube”. The list also includes trending news, TV shows and Movies, local personalities and the classical “What is” queries.
On local personalities, Bob Collymore was the most search individual possibly after his demise. Eliud Kipchoge was the second most searched local personality. Interesting enough, ‘What is INEOS’ ranked number five in the What is type of queries which links to Eliud Kipchoge’s #INEOS159 challenge. It shows how many Kenyans were so curious to find out what was happening.
Birdbox was the most searched movie by Kenyans, followed by Avengers Endgame the popular film that marked the final chapter of a decade-long story. Game of Thrones Season 8, Money Heist Season 3 and When They See US followed in the third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
On trending news, Form One selection 2020 was the most searched query followed by Huduma Number, Likoni Ferry Tragedy, BBI report and the Ethiopian Air Crash at number five.
