Gmail Rolls out ”BLOCK” button to banish annoying senders
Most of the times we keep receiving annoying emails from people we do not know or they could be even be people in our contact list who are really disruptive as Google calls them. Well, now you have something to smile about, you can now be able to say NO MORE EMAILS from the person thanks to the new BLOCK feature by Google.
With this feature, you can now block specific email addresses in Gmail. If you receive emails from the blocked email address they will be directed to your spam folder.
The feature which was launched on Tuesday for the web will also be rolled out for Android users in the next few days.
Along with BLOCK, Google also rolled out unsubscribe option for Android. With this option you’ll be able to opt out of eligible mailing lists directly from the Gmail app.
‘’ It’s perfect for those newsletters you subscribed to a while back but don’t read any more’’ Googler Sri Harsha said in a blog post while announcing the update.
To access the two options block and unsubscribe, simply tap the three-dot menu button at the top right of the display and select your appropriate button to perform the desired task, and you’re good to go.
Should you want to unblock or subscribe back simply go back to your settings and change them.
This feature comes just months after Google also unveiled its Gmail’s ‘Undo Send’ Option. The ‘Undo Send’ allows a person using Gmail to cancel a sent mail if they have second thoughts immediately after sending.
