HMD Global has announced the availability of Nokia 2.4 budget phone in Kenya. The phone was first introduced to the world last month, together with the Nokia 3.4.
This Nokia phone comes in two variants with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 3GB RAM + 64GB storage. It features a 6.5-inch HD screen, a MediaTek P22 processor, Android 10 out of the box (Android 1 ready), 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the back and 5MP front camera. The battery size is 4500mAh.
The phone will be available in three colour options including Dusk, Fjord and Charcoal.
Speaking during the announcement, Gopher Ogembo, Senior Business Manager, HMD Global said the 2-series is a fan favourite as it brings many great features such as a two-day battery life, an AI-powered camera and pure, secure and up-to-date Android, all in an affordable and elegant package.
“The Nokia 2.4 continues to exceed expectations when it comes to what a phone within this segment can provide. We’ve included high-end features like the AI camera with Night mode and Portrait mode. The large screen makes for a more immersive visual experience, and for added security, a biometric fingerprint sensor is included, which is a first for the series. All of this wrapped up in a timeless Finnish design that’s reflected in the Nokia 2.4 colour palette – introducing Dusk to the range – a light, dusty shade of purple that is inspired by Nordic nature,” he said.
The phone will be available starting at Ksh.13,799 for 2/32GB and Ksh .5,500 for 3/64GB variant. You can buy one in mobile general trade outlets across the Country.
