SafiSafi starts its operations in Nairobi, to bring On-demand Domestic Services to customers door step.


With new technological innovations taking over, different people from across the world are taking are coming up with new ideas that are changing how people work. It is for this reason that SafiSafi, a local company founded by two individuals has come up with a new platform that offers services ranging from cleaning, handyman, plumber and electricians to Nairobians. With rates starting from Kshs.300 an hour, the company will bring these services straight to your doorstep.

The company uses the same concept as Uber and it says it ensure all its services are established on three core building blocks, Trust, Quality, and Convenience.  This means there will be no need to go looking for “mama wa nguo”, start negotiating the price and then risk them ‘misplacing’ some of your garments.

According to the founders, they ensure that all professionals we work with are checked out and verified through our stringent vetting processes. Thereafter, they undergo vigorous training to ensure that they deliver a standardized quality service. They have developed a quick and easy booking system to ensure customers get a trusted and trained professional to with the least effort from their side.

SafiSafi was founded by two individuals, who returned to Kenya after living abroad for over ten years. After frustratingly searching for trustworthy and reliable part-time cleaners and general handymen, they quickly realized that this was a lot harder than they initially thought. SafiSafi was hatched at that moment.

Jay Shah, the Co-founder of SafiSafi aims to disrupt the traditional informal market of getting professionals to your doorstep by using a standardized product.

“We hope to end those hazardous days of getting fundi numbers from wooden advertising sign posts.” he said.
