600,000 contestants already registered for Airtel TRACE Music Star 2nd Edition
The 2nd edition of Airtel TRACE Music Star launched early this month, after a successful 1st edition in 2015 which saw a record 2.3 million calls made. The number of contestants even surpassed European and American talent shows such as “The Voice” and “Idol”.
The 2nd edition will see contestants being mentored by American vocalist and songwriter Keri Hilson.
Already, 600,000 calls from aspiring and ambitious singers have been registered to be groomed and mentored by Keri Hilson in Atlanta.
“It’s truly an honour to help unearth the raw talent out of Africa. I look forward to working with talent and ensuring that they are set on the path to stardom.” Keri Hilson says.
She also has some advice for the aspiring winners on how to be successful in the competition.
“Respect is essential, for your peers and your supporters. Never lose the passion and keep pushing yourself to greater heights.”
