Video: How things went down at AITEC East Africa ICT Summit 2016
Over 500 leading ICT professionals and managers gathered at this year’s AITEC East Africa ICT summit held on 24-25 February at Oshwal Centre, Nairobi Kenya. This year’s summit provided unique platforms for the ICT industry to discuss and mobilise smart implementation strategies aimed at improving technology operations in East Africa.
Themed ‘’Inspire and Innovate’’ the summit was opened by ICT Cabinet Secretary, Mr.Joe Mucheru followed by an ICT Visionary panel discussion consisting of the ICT Secretary Dr. Katherine Getao, ICT Authority Acting CEO Robert Mugo, COO of Technobrain Anand Mohan, Group CEO-Kenya Commercial Bank Joshua Oigara and Eric Osiakwan, Managing Partner, Chanzo Capital, Ghana.
The ICT Summit also provided young innovators a platform aimed to promote and showcase their innovations. Some of the tech hubs present included iHub, iLab, mLab, Nailab and Nairobi Garage .Additionally, some forums on eLearning, Cloud, Digital Content and Distribution among others were held with participants from different places attending them.
According to ITEC, they hold this event in the beginning of the year to give IT professionals a chance to develop ideas in the context they need in order to plan their ICT strategies for the coming year.
