Hands On With the Samsung NX Mini camera
Do you love taking selfies? Well, the new Samsung’s NX Mini might just be the best camera ever for selfies: The mirrorless model has an LCD screen that flips 180 degrees so you can frame your selfies as you take them. The camera’s design is somewhat retro, sporting Samsung’s trademark faux-leather texture. It comes in five colors, including the surprisingly attractive mint green.
The NX Mini’s controls are closer to a point-and-shoot’s than a prosumer model’s. It has a 1-inch sensor to accommodate the shorter focal lengths with the new system, which is different from the main NX system. With the NX lens adapter, the NX Mini is fully compatible with the full suite of NX lenses.
With NX Zoom Lens
Here’s the NX Mini with a ridiculously large NX lens. The lens is much, much heavier than the camera, which weighs just 5.6 ounces.

“Love the write up here. Amazing detail, been banging my head to decide which is better, now certainly makes things much easier for me to choose between either the samsung nx or the old timer nikon 1.
However though, Samsung being a new entrant in the photography market does raise my concerns over the quality of their lenses as to whether their lenses can produce better images than Nikon. Samsung’s smartphones are without a doubt producing great images but just wonder if they do similarly for their digital cameras.”
