OPPO Introduces the Find X9 to Kenya With a Focus on Natural Color, Steady Capture, and Hardware Built for Heavy Use

A closer look at how the Find X9 blends its new chipset, bigger battery, and Hasselblad tools to court creators who want reliability as much as range

OPPO has launched the Find X9 in Kenya, marking a notable advancement in mobile photography and dependable performance.

This launch shows how the company is redefining its flagship identity, placing a greater emphasis on computational imaging, durable power systems, and a more understated design compared to earlier models.

A Flagship Built Around Power and Endurance

The Find X9 runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 platform, a 3 nm chipset made for efficiency in everyday use. OPPO combines this chip with its Trinity Engine, which creates a coordinated system for CPU, GPU, and DSU performance. The result is a device that feels intentional and balanced, particularly during multitasking, gaming, or extended recording sessions.

Battery longevity is another key feature. The Find X9 includes OPPO’s latest silicon-carbon battery rated at 7025 mAh. In typical use, the phone lasts well into a second day, which is practical for users who manage calls, streaming, and photography without needing to recharge during the day.

A Design That Leans Into Everyday Handling

OPPO chooses a matte glass back and a matte aluminum frame rather than flashy curves or shiny finishes. The surfaces feel solid and comfortable to hold, avoiding the slippery designs of older models. The Find X9 comes in Titanium Grey and Space Black, both featuring a texture that keeps its look with daily use.

The 6.59-inch display has a slim 1.15 mm bezel on all four sides. This design choice improves the overall experience. Games, videos, and reading appear clearer. It’s a small detail that becomes routine but reflects strong design principles.

A Hasselblad System With a New Technical Edge

Photography takes center stage with the Find X9. OPPO maintains its partnership with Hasselblad, providing a multi-sensor system that focuses on clarity, consistency, and natural color reproduction. The main camera features a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, allowing more light than previous models. The ultra-wide lens also features 50 MP and includes autofocus for capturing real macro shots. A 50 MP periscope telephoto camera rounds out the setup, utilizing the Sony LYT600 sensor for better zoom performance.

Color accuracy improves with a dedicated True Color Camera. This tool measures ambient light in detail, helping the phone correct color inaccuracies that can occur under neon signs, mixed lighting, or in dim indoor spaces.

Video Tools Built for Creative Control

The Find X9 dives into video production with 4K 120 fps recording in Dolby Vision. Professionals can use LOG recording with ACES support, making it easier to incorporate footage into existing editing workflows. Stage Mode and AI Sound Focus improve experiences at concerts and public events, keeping the subject clear and audible even from a distance.

Software That Stays Out of the Way

ColorOS 16 takes a more subtle approach. New animation and rendering engines support smoother transitions as users navigate apps or scroll through the interface. OPPO’s AI features, like Portrait Glow, are easy to access and don’t clutter the camera experience. Cross-device sharing with PCs and Macs expands the workflow for users who rely on multiple devices.

Availability in the Kenyan Market

The OPPO Find X9 is available at OPPO Kenya stores and the company’s website for a suggested price of Ksh 139,999. The device comes in a configuration of 16 GB and 512 GB and is offered in Space Black and Titanium Grey.

The launch of the Find X9 in Kenya signals a thoughtful shift in OPPO’s flagship line. The company is focusing on imaging capabilities, lasting power systems for everyday routines, and a design philosophy that prioritizes subtle, durable materials over flashy features.

“With Find X9, OPPO continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile imaging, uniting industry-leading hardware with state-of-the-art computational photography,” said Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager OPPO Kenya, “Together with Hasselblad, we are taking a monumental leap forward in imaging quality with the Find X9. Combined with a refined design, extraordinary battery life, and the fast and smooth ColorOS 16, Find X9 is set to redefine the flagship experience and inspire a new era of creativity with mobile devices.”
