Asus unveiled AI-driven innovation at CES 2025: Empowering the future with smart tech
At its CES 2025 virtual launch event, ASUS unveiled a range of AI-powered products emphasizing sustainability, power, and creativity ranging from new laptops and tablets such as the ASUS ROG Flow Z13.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is the company’s powerful 2-in-1 gaming tablet designed for ultimate convenience and performance. It comes powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S Graphics.
The tablet boasts exceptional performance and power efficiency, with a unified memory structure that allows for seamless multitasking and gaming – it has one large pool of memory that can be allocated to the Zen 5 and RDNA 3.5 compute cores dynamically, giving gamers access to plentiful VRAM in modern games and excellent performance in other memory-intensive tasks when not gaming.
This is a certified Copilot+ PC and comes with up to 128GB of ultra-fast LPDDR5X RAM, a high-performance GPU, and a dedicated NPU, making it perfect for both gaming and AI tasks – it can run 70B LLM locally and boasts 50 TOPS NPU performance.
Other features in terms of design the tablet comes with include a 13-inch ROG Nebula Display with 2.5K resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness. The 16:10 aspect ratio screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
It is equipped with enhanced cooling thanks to a new stainless steel and copper vapor chamber and dual 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans. use. In addition, integrated dust filters help keep hair and debris out of the machine, keeping the Z13’s cooling system reliable for years to come.
For power, the laptop has a large 70Wh battery which when combined with the new power efficiency of the Strix Halo processor, gives gamers more battery life than ever before.
It has improved input features such as multiple ports such as dual USB-C with USB4 support, DisplayPort 1.4 output, and power delivery, full-sized HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-A port, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and microSD card reader. The detachable keyboard it comes with has a larger touchpad and keycaps which offer a more comfortable typing experience and a new Command Center button for quick access to system functions.
At CES 2025, ASUS introduced the Zenbook 14 (2025) with a Core Ultra 9 285H processor, 2.8K 120Hz OLED display, and Wi-Fi 7, along with the ultraportable ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops featuring RTX 5080 GPUs.
The Zenbook A14 is the world’s lightest Copilot+ PC and the affordable Vivobook 14/16 series, which bring advanced AI features and long battery life. The Zenbook A14 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processor, features a 45 TOPS NPU for AI tasks, up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
The laptop’s 70Wh battery offers up to 32 hours of video playback or 19.5 hours of web browsing, surpassing the MacBook Air in battery life.
The A14 has a 14-inch FHD OLED NanoEdge display (1920×1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio) with 600 nits brightness and TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light mode. It offers immersive audio with a super-linear speaker system, Dolby Atmos support, and Snapdragon Sound for low latency and noise cancellation.
The Zenbook A14 has a versatile port selection, including two USB 4 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm jack, reducing the need for dongles. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 for fast connectivity. User-centric features include a large touchpad with Smart Gestures, a keyboard with 1.3mm key travel, and a Full HD AI IR Camera with facial recognition and Microsoft Pluton security.
In the enterprise space, ASUS launched the ExpertBook B5, a high-performance laptop for business productivity, and the ExpertCenter B900 series, the first commercial AI desktops featuring Intel’s Core Ultra processors.
ASUS also introduced AI-enhanced mini PCs, such as the NUC 15 Pro and ExpertCenter PN54, aimed at businesses and professionals seeking compact, powerful computing solutions. The products emphasize energy efficiency, AI capabilities, and robust security features while also promoting sustainability through initiatives like the Digital Product Passport, supporting a circular economy.
