Teja Spaces Convenes Inaugural Teja Talks Speaker Series in Nairobi

Teja Spaces, a leader in co-working office solutions for professionals and entrepreneurs, partnered with Johnnie Walker and The Kenyan Wall Street to host its inaugural Teja Talks Speaker Series.

The gathering drew an array of industry captains from a diversity of sectors across the region for an interactive dialogue on Helping Brands Understand and Adapt to the Ever-changing Digital Environment, led by Chief Guest, Moses Kemibaro, Founder and CEO of Dotsavvy, a leading practitioner and thought leader in digital marketing and communication.

Moses shared insights on innovative brand penetration strategies in response to the emergence of influencers, digital channels and artificial intelligence through which to address increasingly informed, aspirational consumers. He encouraged leaders to continuously explore and experiment with ever-evolving technologies to remain in touch with the rapid shifts in market trends.

“Market power has clearly shifted towards customers, creating challenges and opportunities for businesses and brands alike. This shift has been influenced by the internet and emerging technologies within the digital ecosystem. Interactive, content-led forums, such as the Teja Talks Speaker Series, empower business leaders to exchange ideas, enabling them to thrive in this dynamic environment” Kemibaro said in his keynote address.

Effective digital management practices have become critical for businesses in today’s market. The consistently increasing volume of information accessible to global consumers through digital touchpoints offers businesses an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their products and services to a diverse global consumer base. However, seismic changes in the analysis and utilization of data poses an existential threat to businesses that are unable control how the content they create and distribute is interpreted. Consistent outreach initiatives in the refinement of messaging and positioning are essential to staying relevant to evolving consumer needs.

Commenting on the forum, Paul Kavuma, Founder and CEO of Teja Spaces, expressed his enthusiasm for the depth of content-rich insights and quality of engagement at the inaugural Teja Talks, emphasizing that the Speaker Series aims to provide an opportunity for intimate interaction, knowledge sharing and experience exchange between business leaders on topical issues and strategic factors influencing our markets and impacting players across the region.

“We are excited to launch the Teja Talks Speaker Series, which aspires to go beyond dialogue as a platform from driving thought leadership and meaningful connections amongst forward-leaning business leaders across Africa. We offer a forum for engagement and networking to propel dynamic companies and brands that embrace transformative ideas that will define the future of business on the continent,” said Kavuma.

Kenyan Wallstreet CEO Andrew Barden commented, “The Teja Talks Speaker Series is a commendable timely initiative in fostering engagement and innovation within Africa’s business ecosystem. This forum aligns perfectly with our mission to make African markets more accessible and transparent to global investors. By bringing together all the key stakeholders, we are partnering to create a platform where decision-makers and thought leaders can engage in impactful discussions that will shape deepening of the continent’s financial markets.”

In addition to thought-provoking discussions, attendees enjoyed a Johnnie Walker Blue Masterclass, offering a sensory journey into the brand’s storied craftsmanship, alongside bespoke Johnnie Walker Gold cocktails, adding a touch of elegance to the evening.

“The Teja Talks Speaker Series resonates with Johnnie Walker Blue’s values of excellence, innovation, and exclusivity. As a brand that represents the finest craftsmanship, we are excited to be part of fostering meaningful dialogue among leaders to inspire progress and navigate the complexities of the digital landscape, all while offering an unforgettable evening experience,” noted Josephine Katambo, Marketing Manager for Scotch and Reserve Brands at East Africa Breweries PLC (EABL).

The next Teja Talk Speaker Series will be held in February as Teja Spaces continues with its mission to provide a meaningful platform for business leaders to engage, share ideas, and shape the journey towards scalability and sustainability of African businesses and brands.
