Glovo Holds 3rd cohort of Learning and Development Training for Partners in Kenya

Glovo recently hosted the third cohort of its Learning and Development Training as part of the Glovo Academy program for partners in Kenya.

This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Ongoza Institute—an accelerator for early-stage, high-growth young entrepreneurs in Kenya—aims to equip small businesses with essential skills, fostering digital transformation and expertise in critical business domains such as innovation and digital marketing.

The training was conducted at the Ongoza Campus. The Glovo Academy project is designed to help Glovo partners stay current with changes in customer preferences, technology, and regulations, enabling them to thrive in a digital landscape. Building on the success of two previous cohorts in Kenya, the training provided partners with a series of workshops and seminars that covered topics including digital food marketing, business innovation, and development tools. It also offered networking opportunities to connect with other entrepreneurs and industry experts.

By embracing advanced strategies and leveraging the potential of technology, these businesses can differentiate themselves, expand their market share, and ensure their sustainability,” said Daphne Kabeberi, Africa Lead for Impact and Sustainability at Glovo.

Having these training sessions as part of the Glovo Academy in the country for our partners pushes us closer to our vision of becoming the best ally for small local businesses looking to digitize their operations by offering tailored solutions to sell, manage, and grow online,”  Caroline Mutuku, General Manager at Glovo Kenya stated.

It is exciting to have successfully guided this third cohort of Glovo partners through this rigorous and vital training, equipping them with the tools they need to better navigate the terrain of business in the digital age,” added Loreen Wanjiru, Program Lead at Ongoza.

The Glovo Academy project reflects a pragmatic and business-oriented approach, tailored to meet the needs of Glovo’s partners.
