Odibets’ Odi Mtaani Initiative Brings ‘Clean Water’ to Homabay County
Under the Odi Mtaani initiative, Odibets, a leading betting company, has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to Homabay County, providing clean water to Obengle Primary School through a borehole project.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, March 6, saw the presence of Homa Bay Deputy Governor Joseph Oyugi Magwanga and Dedan Mungai, the General Manager of Odibets.
Speaking at the event, Dedan Mungai expressed gratitude, “We are very happy for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to drill this borehole that will be of benefit for the school and community at large.”
He added, “We have brought assorted foodstuff and sanitary towels to our girls,” underscoring the holistic approach of their CSR efforts.
Deputy Governor Joseph Oyugi Magwanga commended Odibets for their timely intervention, stating, “On behalf of the county leadership, I wish to thank Odibets for this project which has come when we need it the most.”
He encouraged Odibets to continue supporting communities, expressing confidence in divine reward for their efforts.
Odibets’ Odi Mtaani Foundation has been actively involved in drilling boreholes across various regions, including Makueni, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet, and now Homabay County.
The commitment to ongoing projects reflects the company’s dedication to improving access to clean water in underserved communities.
