REPORTS: WhatsApp testing a new voice-calling feature
Just weeks after unveiling a Web version of WhatsApp that will allow its more that 500 million users send messages from a Web browser. The company is at it again with TechCrunch reporting that select Android users are reporting they’ve happened upon a new voice-calling feature in their WhatsApp mobile applications.
Could this be an indication that the company is testing a new Voice Calling feature?
According to TechCrunch, one user who first reported this did so by posting his screenshots and video to Reddit.
The user, from India user shared screenshots and video of the voice-calling feature in action, which he said was activated when someone who already had the feature called him.
The fact that the first person to report this observation was fron India according to the report points to the possibility that users in that region may be the early testers for the new feature.
Many of the posts posted on Reddit have now been pulled down as they contained personal information bu the video of the feature is still live on YouTube (Below).
