OPPO A96 with Snapdragon 680 and 5000mAh battery launching in Kenya soon

OPPO has today announced plans to launch the OPPO A96 smartphone in Nairobi Kenya. The company has not mentioned the exact date it plans to make the device available but has shared some of the specs we should expect.

OPPO A96 is said to sport a 6.59-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and is equipped with a huge 5000mAh battery with support for 33W SUPERVOOC flash charging. OPPO claims the battery gives users up to 15 hours while a 30-minute charge with SUPERVOOC provides 55% of battery power.

Under the hood, the smartphone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The upcoming smartphone will also feature RAM expansion (up to 5GB).

The phone will also come with ColorOS 11.1 to make the entire user experience effortless and efficient according to OPPO.  System optimization software features such as System Booster and Link Boost 2.0 will ensure high-level system performance and connectivity smoothness.

The phone is also equipped with a 16MP Front Camera, which OPPO says produces gorgeous portrait shots. Portrait shots are now brighter and clearer in dim environments with the help of the 360° Fill Light feature delivering customers a softer and unflawed user expertise.

We will also be getting the OPPO Glow Design manufacturing process that selects the best diamond-cut glass panel and places it in a vacuum to compress the crystal pattern to create an eye-catching, smooth, anti-fingerprint and dirt-proof texture. This, OPPO says gives the OPPO A96 its 3D thin center frame form.

Again, OPPO does not mention the exact launch date but we will be sharing more details in our subsequent articles.
