Nokia 5.4 Official with 6.39-inch HD+ Display, 4,000 mAh battery and 48MP Camera

HMD Global, the official licensee of Nokia branded phones, has officially launched Nokia 5.4. The phone is a successor to the Nokia 5.3(review) with an MSRP of Ksh 23,000, but you can grab it at a discounted price online.

Nokia 5.4 is a bit smaller than its predecessor, measuring 6.39-inches, with 1,520 x 720 display resolution.

Apart from the display hole punch housing the selfie camera, a trend that the company started with Nokia 2.4, the phone is not so different from Nokia 5.3 externally. It features diagonal ridges on the back cover for a tight grip like Nokia 2.4(review).

It packs a 4000mAh non-removable battery that can be charged at standard 10W. It’s part of Google’s Android One program promising two major Android updates and three years of security updates. The phone ships with Android 10.

Nokia 5.4 has 4GB of RAM paired with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 processor and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage which you can expand via the dedicated microSD card slot. It has five cameras, four in the back and one single 16MP snapper on the front.

The main camera includes a 48MP primary shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP lenses one for macro and another for depth sensing – all housed in a circle-shaped bump.

It has a single speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type C port. The phone has a rear-placed fingerprint sensor at the back.

Nokia 5.4 will retail at around Ksh 25,700 for the base 4GB/64GB model. The phone comes in three configurations – a 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB model.

It will be selling in two colours, purple Dusk and dark blue Polar Night.
