TECNO Camon 16s Launched in Kenya Going for Ksh 17,699

Available around the country

TECNO has launched TECNO Camon 16s, their latest budget phone in the Kenyan market. TECNO Camon 16s price in Kenya starts at Ksh. 17,699.

The phone sports a 6.6 inch 720p Dot-in IPS LCD display with a punch hole on the top left. TECNO Camon 16s runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with Power VR GE8320 GPU.

The device is available in one memory configuration: 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM. Just as with other TECNO smartphones, you can snap in a microSD card for more storage space.

It boots on Android 10, with HiOS v6.1 on top. On the camera side of things, the device comes with four lenses on the back and a single 8MP selfie camera on the front.

The rear camera array includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel lens for depth sensing, another 2-megapixel lens for macro shots, and, finally, an AI lens.

The whole system draws power from a 5,000mAh battery, which, unfortunately, charges via micro-USB port – a bummer in late 2020 if you ask me.

Other features of the TECNO Camon 16s include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, a fingerprint sensor, face unlock, DTS audio, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

You can buy the phone in two colours, Seabed Blue and Ice Jadeite, now available for Ksh 17,699.

It is available for purchase in TECNO-branded retail stores around the country.
