Google has now opened its developer and merchant registration on the Play Console for 13 more African countries. Developers in these countries can now register to publish their apps on Google Play and even sell them using Google Play Merchant Accounts.
The company does this regularly after a few months and this time, 13 more African countries have been chosen to jump on the train.
For five of the total countries now included, Google only allowed developers to register and distribute free apps and games via the Play Store.
But with the support for Merchant accounts available, developers from these countries can also be able to sell paid apps and games via the Play Store.
The five include the following;
- Benin
- Botswana
- Mali
- Mozambique
- Togo
The rest of the eight African countries had no Google Play support in the first place, but now local devs can sign up and distribute both free and paid apps.
- Burundi
- Congo
- Guinea
- Lesotho
- Libya
- Malawi
- Mauritania
- Niger
