OPPO RENO 10X Zoom Set to be Launched in Kenya on Monday 22nd


Oppo has announced plans to launch their Reno 10X Zoom device in Kenya on Monday 22nd. The company first announced the Reno 10X Zoom in China earlier in April followed by a global debut in other countries. Now the company has revealed the Kenyan market should also be set to have a share of the new product.

OPPO Reno 10X Zoom features an impressive robust design which to most people it will be appealing. The back of the device features an impressive matte finish at the back with a glossy grip in the middle. The device sports a full 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display thanks to the shark-fin pop-up camera design that Oppo terms as a panoramic display.

Under the hood, you get the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, a 4000mAh battery, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal expandable storage via a hybrid SIM card slot. It is worth noting that the device comes with support to SuperVOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

In the camera department, Reno 10X Zoom has a triple camera setup on the rear made of a 48MP triple-lens +13MP telephoto lens + 8MP wide-angle lens with a 120-degree view. With the trio-setup, you can shoot 4K videos at 60fps which has both OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).

The device also comes in a lesser form in the name of Oppo Reno which offers a 6.4-inch display, Snapdragon 710 under the hood, 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of ROM and a similar 48MP SonyIMX586 sensor.

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom comes in two variant –6/128GB for Rs 39990 (approximately Ksh 59,000) and 8/256GB for Rs 49,990 (approximately Ksh 73,000). While the basic Reno model comes in an 8/128GB memory configuration for Rs 32990 (approximately Ksh 48,000). Prices will vary in Kenya, but these figures should give you the idea of what you should be expecting.

The OPPO Reno will be retailing at Ksh.89,999. Pre-order starts from 23rd to 28th July.
