Asus showcases a motorized flip-up camera in the Asus ZenPhone 6


It’s been a trend where every smartphone maker wants to get rid of the notch in any possible way. In addition to the already existing pop-up cameras, punch designs and even rotating camera designs, Asus has now set a new trend with a flip-up camera. The camera is placed on the back of the device but flips up when a selfie is taken. Here’s a quick clip on the flip-up camera.

Asus ZenPhone 6 adds itself on the midrange category of devices competing with the likes of OnePlus 7. The device has a 6.4-inch edge to edge IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution at 2340×1080 resolution and Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6 protection. The device is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery that is nonremovable.

Asus ZenPhone 6 is available in only two colours; Twilight Silver and Midnight Black. The Asus ZenFone 6 price starts at EUR 499 (approx. Ksh 56, 000) for the 6GB + 64GB variant, the 6GB + 128GB version retails at EUR 559 (approx. Ksh 64,000), and finally, the top-tier 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at EUR 599 (approx. Ksh 68,000).
