The Nokia 1 Plus is now selling in Kenya at Ksh 9,300


HMD Global, the home of has today announced the availability of the new Nokia 1 Plus in Kenya. The device will be available for purchase at an estimated selling price of Ksh 9,300.

The Nokia 1 Plus is one of the first global Android 9 (Go edition) smartphones and features a 5.45-inch touchscreen display and an aspect ratio of 18:9 and measures 145.04 x 70.40 x 8.55mm (height x width x thickness)

Mark Misumi, HMD Business Manager East Africa said, ‘’Nokia 1 Plus combines a big display, solid imaging, and aspirational design with a unique nano-pattern finish at the back, as well as running on the latest Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) OS.”

The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the phone packs an 8-megapixel camera on the reat with autofocus and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The device is also powered by a 2,500mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.20, and Micro-USB with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

The Nokia 1 Plus is available in Black, Blue, and Red colours.
