Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 launched in Kenya, pre-orders open


Huawei has unveiled yet another device in the Y series, the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019. The device will be available from pre-orders starting today (March 12) and the company is selling it at Kshs 13,499.

The pre-orders open from March 12th to and March 15th online and in select retail stores across the country.

The phone comes with a 6.09-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It also comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 runs Android 9.0 Pie and is actually the first budget smartphone from the company in the country running on Pie. It is powered by 3,020mAh battery.

For the cameras, the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 packs a 13-megapixels rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is 8-megapixels.

Additional features include the Huawei SuperSound which according to the company can release an additional 6db of sound³ with stronger bass effects.

Pre-orders can be made on Jumia or Kilimall. The phone will then be available for purchase after this pre-order period expires.
