Samsung Electronics has officially kicked off its CES 2026 showcase by unveiling a bold new vision: “Your Companion to AI Living.”
Speaking at the exclusive First Look event at the Wynn Las Vegas, Samsung leadership detailed a future where artificial intelligence isn’t just a feature, but a “central nervous system” connecting every device in the home.
TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, emphasized that the company is moving beyond basic connectivity. “Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances, and services,” Roh stated, positioning AI as a lifelong companion that anticipates user needs.
The 130-Inch Micro RGB Display
The centerpiece of the 2026 visual display lineup is the massive 130-inch Micro RGB TV. This flagship model represents a significant evolution in picture quality, utilizing a micro-sized RGB light source where each microscopic red, green, and blue diode shines independently. This architecture, powered by the new Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, allows for the most detailed color spectrum ever seen in a Samsung display, delivering images in their purest form while maintaining a “Timeless Frame” design that creates an immersive, window-like effect in any room.
Beyond raw hardware specs, the new lineup introduces the Vision AI Companion (VAC), a sophisticated multi-agent platform designed to interact conversationally with users. VAC goes far beyond standard voice commands; it can suggest what to watch based on your mood, find recipes for meals seen on screen, and even send those cooking instructions directly to connected kitchen appliances.
For sports enthusiasts, the integration includes AI Soccer Mode Pro, which automatically tunes picture and sound to stadium-level quality, while AI Sound Controller Pro allows viewers to isolate or enhance specific audio elements like crowd noise or commentary.
Lifestyle & Audio
Samsung’s leadership in the soundbar market continues with the introduction of the Music Studio 5 and 7 WiFi speakers. Designed in collaboration with renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, these speakers feature a “timeless dot” aesthetic and support advanced spatial audio through the new Eclipsa Audio system.
This spatial sound technology is being introduced across the entire 2026 TV lineup, ensuring that even the ultra-thin OLED S95H, designed with art gallery elegance, provides a theater-like auditory experience.
The lifestyle category also saw the debut of The Freestyle+, a portable projector that leverages VAC intelligence to project content clearly onto uneven surfaces like corners or textured curtains. Furthermore, Samsung announced that its 2026 TV models will be the first to support HDR10+ ADVANCED, a standard that offers genre-based optimization and intelligent motion smoothing, significantly boosting the quality of both cinematic and gaming content.
High-Performance Gaming: The 6K 3D Odyssey G9
For the gaming and creator community, Samsung pushed the boundaries of display performance with five new Odyssey monitors. The lineup is led by the world’s first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, which uses eye-tracking and advanced rendering to provide immersive 3D visuals without the need for glasses.
Additionally, the new Odyssey G6 debuts with a staggering 1,040Hz refresh rate, setting a new benchmark for competitive esports.
As these Samsung technologies debut on the global stage at CES 2026, Kenyan consumers can expect to see the “Vision AI” features integrated into local retail offerings later this year. While the 130-inch Micro RGB remains a luxury statement, the democratization of AI features like the Vision AI Companion across Neo QLED and UHD models suggests that the future of the “AI-connected home” is rapidly approaching the East African market.
