Sophos, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, has announced the general availability of new integrations connecting its extensive cyber threat intelligence repository, Sophos Intelix, with Microsoft Security Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Unveiled at the Microsoft Ignite Conference, the move democratizes advanced threat intelligence, helping organizations of all sizes strengthen defenses and respond to cyberattacks more effectively.
Sophos Central processes over 223 terabytes of telemetry daily, generating more than 34 million detections and automatically blocking 11 million threats. This continuous flow of global customer insight fuels the Sophos Intelix platform, which is now accessible for free to Microsoft Copilot users.
The integration of Sophos Intelix into Microsoft Security Copilot, the generative AI assistant for Security Operation Center (SOC) and IT teams, provides advanced threat context and enrichment capabilities. Security analysts and IT teams can now query and investigate threats using natural language, enriched by Sophos’ insights from protecting over 600,000 organizations.
Through this connection, defenders can enrich alerts, triage incidents faster using services like sandbox detonation and dynamic analysis, and investigate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) with real-time reputation lookups for files, URLs, and IPs. Access to global insights from Sophos X-Ops is delivered directly within Security Copilot.
Sophos Intelix also integrates with Microsoft 365 Copilot, embedding comprehensive threat intelligence into everyday productivity tools like Teams and Copilot Chat. This allows IT administrators, risk managers, and even business users to query Sophos threat intelligence in natural language. Users can instantly check if links, files, or domains are associated with known malicious activity, enabling faster, better-informed security decisions without leaving their workflow.
“The Microsoft Copilot ecosystem is transforming how people interact with technology… The future of SOC productivity is moving beyond the graphical user interfaces we’ve relied on since the 1980s, toward a new paradigm of human–AI collaboration,” said Simon Reed, Chief Scientific Research Officer, Sophos.
This integration addresses the urgent demands of defenders, particularly small and mid-sized businesses, who often struggle to keep pace with the acceleration of attacker activity. By exposing Sophos Intelix within the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem, Sophos empowers organizations to accelerate analysis, reduce response time, and ultimately improve security outcomes.
