Safaricom 5G Home Routers Now Available for Purchase in Naivas

Safaricom has announced a strategic partnership with retailer Naivas Supermarket to significantly expand the availability of its 5G home routers across Kenya.

The collaboration will see 5G Home Internet devices sold in all Naivas outlets nationwide, making high-speed, reliable connectivity more convenient and accessible for Kenyan households.

The partnership coincides with two major milestones: Safaricom’s Silver Jubilee (25 years) and Naivas’s 35th anniversary.

“We are proud to partner with Naivas Supermarket to bring our internet connectivity closer to customers,” said Fawzia Ali, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom. “It marks a major milestone in our journey as Safaricom to expanding access to high-speed internet through both traditional and alternative channels.”

This isn’t Safaricom’s first retail foray to boost internet accessibility. Earlier this year, the telco partnered with Quickmart to accelerate the distribution of both 4G and 5G Home Internet devices across its 61 outlets.

Pricing and Safaricom 5G Home Fibre Upgrades

Customers can now purchase Safaricom 4G and 5G home routers, both retailing at KES 2,999, at a variety of locations:

  • Naivas Supermarket outlets
  • Quickmart outlets
  • Safaricom Retail Shops
  • Authorized dealers
  • Safaricom’s Masoko e-commerce platform

In addition to expanding device access, Safaricom recently upgraded its Home Fibre service. The Entry Package speeds have been increased from 10Mbps to 15Mbps at no additional cost for existing customers. New subscribers can sign up for the enhanced 15Mbps plan for KES 2,999.

This fibre upgrade and the new retail partnerships underscore Safaricom’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation, offering customers a faster and more reliable internet experience for streaming, remote work, and everyday browsing.
