The Now Bar is one of OneUI 7 features and allows users to check live updates without unlocking, manage music playback, and view your fitness stats from Samsung Health.
The Now bar works in tandem with the Now Brief AI-powered notification hub from Samsung, streamlining that experience even further.
How to Set Up the Now Bar on the Samsung Galaxy S25

Open Settings on your Galaxy S25.

Navigate to Lock screen and AOD (Always On Display).

Select Now Bar and toggle it on.

Enable Live notifications and Now Brief if needed.

Tap See all to customize visible apps and features.

Choose apps like Clock, Voice Recorder, Samsung Health, and more to integrate with Now Bar.
Real-time updates based on usage and preferences will be displayed by Now Bar upon activation.
How to Use the Now Bar
The Now Bar functions with enabled apps. To maximize its use:
- Start an activity when running an app like Samsung Health, then lock your screen. Double-tap or press the power button to bring up the Now Bar to read real-time stats.
- Swipe up to switch from one enabled app to another. Long -press Now Bar for more options’ like dismiss or change settings.
It also gets updated live with sports scores, navigation, and event tracking-informing the user at a single glance.
Enhancing Convenience with One UI 7
The Always On Display gives the Now Bar one of its biggest advantages, making it possible to interact with the device in low-energy mode. Third-party app support is limited currently but Samsung is expected to expand compatibility soon.
