Samsung Unpacked 2024: Where to watch and what to expect

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event is happening on Wednesday, July 10. At the event, Samsung is expected to introduce its latest foldables, smartwatches, and other accessories.

This will be Samsung’s second Unpacked event of 2024 with the most recent event being on January 17, where we saw Samsung showcase the new Galaxy S series phones.

Well, this will be an in-person event in Paris, France, and it will be live-streamed on platforms like YouTube for anyone to watch. This is an interesting location as the city hosts the 2024 Summer Olympics later that month and well, Samsung is one of the biggest sponsors of the games.

Of course, we can’t all go to Paris for the launch but the good thing as we said is that it will also be streamed on Samsung’s website and social media pages.

In Kenya, we expect the Samsung local office to host a watch party for the event. We have seen them do this before and invited select tech media and partners to watch the event. They have already sent us invites for the livestream which will be held at Ole Sereni.

What to expect.

On this day, we expect Samsung to launch its next-gen foldables as well as updates to its Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tab lines. There’s little information about these products but based on the teasers, it’s clear Samsung will be going big on AI and we could probably see another major showcase for generative AI on smartphones like what we saw on the Galaxy S24.

Something else we expect to go official is Samsung’s new wearable, Galaxy Ring. Samsung first teased the device at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in January and we should finally expect to see it live on Wednesday.
