Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds: Perfect buds for international travellers

Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds: When was the last time you actually bought wired earphones? I really can’t remember the last time I used them despite having a bunch of them somewhere in my tech lab. The reason for this is that wireless technology came and crept into my life effortlessly.

Just like any other user out there, we all like a cableless mess-free experience and wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are here to fix that.

I have been using wireless Bluetooth earbuds for years now but the idea of using earbuds that can actually translate languages has never crossed my mind. So when the good people at Timekettle Technologies reached out and asked if they could send over a sample of their Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds, I said why not?

Timekettle is a Chinese-based tech firm that is building a global brand of AI translator by integrating cutting-edge technology and innovative design through the combination of artificial intelligence and hardware technology. Since its launch in 2016, the company has launched five different products, each in either its unique form of communication or purpose of use. The firm says it has also served over 100,000 users worldwide.

The M3 Translator Earbuds are their latest product and succeed the M2 launched in 2020 on Indiegogo as the first translator device that provides offline translation service. M3 now comes with some quite interesting upgrades  – it integrates Timekettle exclusive HybridComm 1.0 which the company says provides an optimized and natural translation experience, as well as enhances the music quality. If you’re an international traveller then this is definitely the product for you.

One would ask, why should you buy translation earbuds? If you have been to a foreign country, you will agree that language barrier has always been a big problem. If I went to Germany for example, I would have a big problem conversing with someone in German. A translation device like let’s say an app or earbuds can make my visit to German more pleasurable. These devices make it much easier to have conversations with people you meet while travelling and can help immerse you in the local culture.

The Timekettle Translator Earbuds are designed and developed solely for natural and high-efficient conversations with support for 40 languages and 93 accents that cover most countries and regions. They also come with offline translations for 8 languages.

With its HybridComm™ technology, data has shown that communication efficiency conducted by the Timekettle Translator Earbuds can increase up to 200%. ‘’Our goal is to design translation products, regardless of your application and need, so that you can enjoy every remarkable conversation with people that speak a different language.’’ the company says.

Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds key features

Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds

M3 Translator Earbuds are available on Amazon (HERE) and the Timekettle Official website (HERE) for $149.99. At that price, what features are they offering that should convince you to spend your money on them?

The M3 Translator Earbuds integrate multiple functions for translation applications, music listening, and phone calls. It also features different modes – Touch mode for simultaneous interpretation in a lengthy conversation. In this mode, the HybridComm 1.0™  technology automatically picks up your voice and segments the speech into logical sentences for a fluent conversation – both ways. This mode is good for people like me – I could really use it to conduct an interview with another person that speaks a different language. ONE set of these earbuds is good for two people’s conversation with each person wearing one in their ear. Listen mode automatically picks up and translates sentences, and plays continuously right in your ear. The translation history is also saved for your review anytime. Just make sure your phone is close to the person speaking and listen to the translation from the M3 when using this mode. With the Speaker mode simply wear the earbud, and conduct a cross-language conversation with another person via Timekettle App where the counterpart speaks right to it.

The M3 Translator Earbuds are also integrated with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of a maximum depth of 30dB.  This is important because ANC will help you hear better in loud environments and avoid background noise and distractions.

For the battery life, the Translator Earbuds offer approx. 7.5 hrs on a single full charge, and up to 25 hours of combined battery life with the charging case.

Important to note that the translation latency may vary depending on the connection network at your testing time. The better the network, the shorter the latency.

Conclusion

Indeed, translator products are now more sophisticated than ever, thanks to technology. Incorporating translation technology into a pair of language translator earbuds now makes it easier especially for international travellers to travel to new countries without worrying about language barriers.

The Timekettle M3 Translator Earbuds are portable and easy to use, understanding the local lingo (not to mention making yourself understood too) has never been easier.

You can buy them on Amazon (HERE) and the Timekettle Official website (HERE).
