Binance has launched a crypto education tour across five African countries
Cryptocurrency firm Binance has launched a crypto education tour across five French-speaking African countries.
The tour aims to drive blockchain adoption and fuel greater financial accessibility in the region. Participants will get a chance to learn the basics of blockchain and discover various user cases that are applicable in their daily lives.
The meet-up kicked off in Togo in Cotonou, Benin on September 10th with scheduled visits in Togo, Côte D’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Burkina Faso.
The Benin tour attracted about 400 attendees with a keen interest in blockchain technology.
“It is clear that Francophone Africa has limitless potential to be a key player in the blockchain revolution and we are committed to providing more people with access to the necessary information and tools to use digital assets and blockchain. Community is a vital part of the blockchain and by bringing together like-minded people to learn and grow in the space, the future of blockchain in Francophone Africa is inevitably prosperous,” said Carine Dikambi, Francophone Africa Lead at Binance.
Africa has developed a great interest in blockchain which has been widely adopted for various use cases. In a bid to elicit interest and tap developer talents, companies have been conducting training in communities.
Earlier this year, we covered a weeklong blockchain training conducted by Polygon and Impact+ at the MultiMedia University in Nairobi.
