OPPO’s Flagship Find X5 Series Launching in Kenya This Week


Oppo is bringing its flagship Find X5 series to Kenya. The company plans to unveil this series on Thursday, 16th of June and has already sent media invites confirming the same.

This will be the second time Oppo will be bringing the Find X series to Kenya. The first time this happened was back in 2018. 

The Oppo Find X5 Series has already been launched in other global markets and as far as we know it comes in three variants –  Find X5, Find X5 Pro, and Find X5 Lite. As per the invite, OPPO will be unveiling the Find X5.

What to expect – Specs

The Oppo Find X5 is a pretty interesting device featuring MariSilicon X, the dedicated imaging Neural Processing Unit that supports 4K Ultra Night Video capabilities and more.

The phone features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the Oppo Find X5 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, along with some 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that doesn’t support expansion.

There is a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with another 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. At the front, there’s a 13-megapixel telephoto shooter.

Oppo Find X5 runs on Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top.

Connectivity options include 5G adding to the list of the already available 5G devices by the company in the market including the recently launched Oppo Reno7 5G.

Oppo has also added a 4,800mAh dual-cell battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging to the Find X5. The battery also supports 30W AirVOOC wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
