To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, we sat down with 4 women working a Safaricom PLC for this episode of our 24Bit podcast.

Juma Imainata is an intern within the Technology Division who has a physical disability. She has a certification in CISCO IT Essentials, Introduction of Networks (CCNA1), Switching, Routing and Wireless Essentials (CCNA2). She also has a background in Manufacturing Engineering. She graduated in December 2021 with BSc in Manufacturing Engineering and Technology from Egerton University. She is passionate about IT Networking, design, entrepreneurship, giving back to society and disability mainstreaming. She enjoys learning new languages, travelling and sightseeing.
Huzaira Bashir is a Big Data Admin and Engineer at Safaricom PLC. She’s an experienced Big Data Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. She is skilled in Databases, Big Data Analytics, Management, and Business Intelligence.
Carolyne Sande: she describes herself as an enterprising person with extensive experience in Customer Service, Teamwork, and sales. Her career path has been influenced by her diverse educational background, she is a well-rounded person who knows how to deal and connect with people from different cultures. Beth Nyambura Njoroge: she is a customer care representative at Safaricom who has a condition that requires her to carry along an oxygen kit wherever she goes. She has an inspiring story on resilience.
