Huawei Opens pre-orders for the nova Y60 in Kenya

Pre-orders come with a free Huawei gift box and 64GB SD card


Huawei Mobile Kenya has opened pre-orders for its soon to be launched HUAWEI nova Y60 smartphone in Kenya.

The pre-orders will run for one week and will see consumers who buy the device get a free Huawei gift box and 64GB SD card. 

The mid-range device is a new branch of the HUAWEI nova series, integrating the nova and Y series.

Huawei Nova Y60 expected specs

The phone has already been launched in other markets like South Africa. It runs on EMUI 11.01 based on Android 10 open source using Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and the latest EMUI 10.1. What this means is that we are still not getting Google Mobile Services but you can still download most of your favourite apps from the Huawei App Gallery. 

The Huawei nova Y60 features a 6.6-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) TFT LCD display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC and packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

For the cameras,  the Huawei Nova Y60 has a triple rear camera setup featuring a 13-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The phone also comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery. It will be available for Kshs 22,999. The Huawei nova Y60 pre-orders can be made on e-commerce platform Amaya here.
