LG 2020 NanoCell TV Lineup Promises Better Picture Quality and Up to 8K Resolution


LG is a well-known name when it comes to the smart home market. It’s TVs, fridges, washing machines, and other home equipment have enabled the company to be recognized worldwide on various platforms.

For the TV market, LG has announced new NanoCell TVs for 2020, as well as those with LED and OLED panels, aimed at joining your company on the home entertainment system front. 

We’ll talk about the NanoCell 2020 TVs alone in this article, however.

LG’s 2020 NanoCell TVs focus on three key things; Nano color, Nanotech, and Nano connection. There’s plenty to talk about here.

Nano Color includes delivery of “real and accurate picture quality” plus high contrast ratios. The 2020 NanoCell LG TVs support up to the current high-end 8K display standard. But the series has 4K UHD models, too.  

The key features of LG’s 2020 NanoCell TVs are tied to the underlying technology. It includes LG’s powerful ThinQ AI system that continuously, and automatically learns to optimize the two most important aspects of a better viewing experience, that is TV picture and sound quality.  

LG’s AI leverages Deep Learning to dynamically adjust the TV picture and sound settings so you don’t have to.  

Lastly, you can connect the TVs to a variety of gadgets, including mobile devices, IoT devices, and even traditional inputs like USB thumb drives. The TV can also act as a smart home hub, letting you control the rest of the smart home devices available in your house.

Specifications include native 120Hz refresh rate, intelligent voice recognition that enables you to control your TV and easily search content and apps using your natural language. The TVs also have inbuilt Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa which will be made available in this region soon. 

It also supports all major HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG, Dolby Atmos sound, auto low-latency mode (ALLM) for gamers (Nano97 and Nano 95series), and variable refresh rate (VRR) on some models (Nano 90 and Nano 86 series) for smooth gameplay.  

LG’s 2020 TVs will be available in variant models with an expansive range of screen sizes from 55-inches to 86-inches.  LG has not yet revealed the local pricing but we shall update the article when they do.
