Oppo Kenya today pulled the wraps off its new A-series device known as the Oppo A92. The phone is going at a base price of Ksh 30,000.
Oppo A92 has a 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution(1080 x 2400) display with a tiny circular notch on the top left corner of the display where a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 lens is placed.
It also comes with 8GB of memory and 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. A 48MP lens is at the lead for rear photos coupled with three other camera lenses; one for ultra-wide shots, another for macro shots, and the last one for depth sensing.
Other key specs include; USB Type C interface, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology, Android 10.01 with ColorOS 7.1, 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side.
The company says the phone will be available from June 5, although we have seen some units already selling on Jumia. Oppo A92 will be available locally in either aurora purple, twilight black, or shining white colors.
During the launch, Oppo Kenya also announced a new pair of wireless earphones dubbed Oppo Enco W31.
The Oppo Enco W31 earphones are true wireless earphones and will set you back by Ksh 8000. However, the company says early buyers of the A92 will enjoy a Ksh 2000 discount for the wireless earphones. That is for those who purchase the phone between June 5th and 12th.
