Mozilla Firefox Unveils Picture-in-Picture Mode Feature On Windows

While browsing, it is often a common thing that we want to get the most out of every minute through multitasking. And one of the hardest things to do is watching videos while multitasking. However, Mozilla wants to make that easier through the picture-in-picture mode feature that is now available on Windows.

Through this feature, Mozilla Firefox users will be able to watch videos from any platform inside the browser contained in a separate and small window.  This video will still be viewable even if you switch tabs within Firefox or outside the Firefox browser.

The feature is available in the latest version of Firefox. To access it, simply hover over a video, and if available, a small blue “Picture in Picture” option will appear. Once the mode is enabled, you will be able to continue watching a video even if you leave Mozilla or switch tabs without obscuring it.

Picture in picture mode is only available in Windows as per now, and you must be running Firefox’s latest release – Version 71.0. For macOS and Linux users, Mozilla says it will be available in the next Firefox browser release coming in January 2020.
