Infinix HOT 8 Launching in Kenya Soon, Here’s What To Expect
We already did a short piece about the upcoming Infinix HOT 8 and the expected specs. The device seems to be already selling in other countries and looks like we might be seeing it in Kenya soon.
Infinix has already started sending out teasers confirming the same. The Infinix HOT is the successor of the HOT 7 that was launched on the 18th of March. We did a review of the HOT 7 which you can read here.
Just as we had mentioned before, we should expect a larger 6.52-inch(720*1600 resolution) IPS LCD display with minimal bezels and chin. We will also be getting a waterdrop notch.
Under the hood, there is an eight-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset curated from the cost-effective 12nm processing technology. The HOT 7 featured 6.0” 18:9 Infinity screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
For graphical processing, Infinix HOT 8 relies on PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone will come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You can still expand the storage further via a dedicated microSD card slot.
For the camera, the Infinix HOT 8 will feature a triple rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a low-light sensor. For selfies, there is a single 8MP camera.
Infinix has not said anything yet about the pricing but remember the HOT 7 was selling at Ksh. 9,999 for the 1GB/16GB variant and Ksh.10,999 for the 2GB/32GB variant. So we should probably expect the HOT 8 to be around the same price or slightly higher.
Infinix does has also not confirmed when exactly the device will start going on sale in the country. We will be sharing more details about the device as soon as we get them.
